I started TRIATHLONS almost 3 years ago almost on a challenge from a friend who competes in 70.3s. I have slowly improved in all my races and broke 5 hours for the first time at 70.3 Chattanooga in May. This weekend at 70.3 Waco will mark my fifth 70.3. This year in Alaska, I competed in three races (2 Olympic length and 1 sprint). The two Olympic length I won 1st place overall in both. In the Sprint I came in 7th and 1st in AG. I've received an invite to the national age group championships the last two years. We spend our winters in Mexico and I've finished 3rd in AG for the last two years at the Manzanillo ITU Sprint. I missed an invite to the ITU world Championship by less than a minute last year. This year my goal is ITU world Championship and 70.3 world championship. This year I was named an All World Athlete by Ironman.
I am 51 years old and the captain of a passenger ferry in Alaska.
